The fight was filler, we dont know what happened in the manga, just because the kai was absorbed it means that south kaioshin>ssj3 goku as he also absorbed that fat kai, i guess that makes fat kai>buff buu. South kaioshin wasn't able to used the z sword but gohan was able, ssj gohan>any of the supreme kais

Following what Kaioshin says when regards to ki is just foolish I think. If you do, you all better say right now that Base Saiyans>>Piccolo cause that's what Dabura implies and his ki sensing>> Kaioshin's ki sensing.

South Kaioshin was "somehow" absorbed. Dai Kaioshin was not.

Boo didn't bother to absorb anybody except the ones that he thought would make him much stronger (Gotenks & Gohan) or help him in some way (Piccolo). Even Fat Boo, the dumbest one there was, didn't try to absorb anybody.

That should count for something.

P.S. Before Dai Kaioshin being absorbed is brought up, it's likely that Boo assumed absorbing another person like that would further increase his strength, or he was literally stupid.

Judging by both there fights and how well both south kai and ssj3 goku held against kid buu i gotta go with south kai.
My guy was was actually overpowering kid buu at times, unlike goku who kept losing all his energy.

I see it like this both fight and are about equal when gokus drain affects him and loses the ssj3. South kai then Stomps him

Kid Buu ~ SSJ3 Goku > South Kaioshin

IMO, South Kai did something in his fight with Buu to royally piss him off like Vegeta and Dabura did to Fatty Buu. Of all the people to fight against, Goku is the best opponent to have because he usually almost always respects his opponent and fights honorably, whereas most of the other fighters like to make the the other fighter feel inferior or tick them off etc.

We Super Saiyans are in a league of our own.
